How does a signing project with MobbSign work?
Key generation and trust model
Before any signature is made, the system generates a unique pair of asymmetric keys for the session. The public key is linked to the document and the signer, while the private key is held by a certified Trust Service Provider (TSP), ensuring the chain of custody from the very first moment.
Opening, reading and signing execution
The signer views the entire document on a mobile device before signing. The handwritten signature gesture is captured with all its dynamic richness: pressure, speed, coordinates, rhythm, and duration, generating a unique biometric trace linked to that specific document.
Biometric capture and local processing
All biometric processing occurs exclusively on the device where the signer signs, locally. Raw signature data never travels across the network. This privacy-by-design principle ensures that the most sensitive information never leaves the terminal without cryptographic protection.
Asymmetric encryption, hash and time stamp
The cryptographic core of the process: biometric data is encrypted locally with the TSP's public key. Simultaneously, a SHA-256 hash of the document is generated. Everything is encapsulated in a secure signature object with encrypted biometrics, hash, evidence, and a certified time stamp.
Signed PDF composition and delivery
The signature object is embedded into the original PDF, creating a self-sufficient document with full legal validity under the eIDAS Regulation. The resulting PDF contains all the necessary evidence for verification at any time, without depending on external systems.
